Steven Varrica

Steven Varrica
Chief Operations Officer

With over thirty years of experience, Steven Varrica has brought his impressive engineering expertise into the senior management team at Sevaan Group.

A self-proclaimed jack of all trades, Steven has been developing his deep engineering knowledge since he first started his apprenticeship in 1985.

“It’s certainly been a fun ride. I love the industry and I still get a thrill walking into the factory every morning. It’s like part of my DNA!”

With his hands-on knowledge, Steven is able to provide his customers with in-depth knowledge of metal fabrication with a positive service attitude.

His drive to delight his clients and push the company forward is evident through the growing success of the Sevaan Group.

Steven’s ambition is for the Sevaan Group to become bigger and better, whilst providing a great place for his employees to work.

“I’ve got a service attitude… The better I am with customers and employees, the better business we’re going to have. I feel bad when I have to have a conversation with employees about letting them go. So my driver is we don’t want to let people go, we just want to grow.”

His core values consist of three words – communication, quality and integrity. When things don’t go according to plan, Steven ensures his team learns from their mistakes with a line of open communication.

Another one of Steve’s big focuses is his family life… and golf! If you’re looking for him outside of office hours, you can find him watching one of his sons’ soccer matches, on the golf course or supporting Sydney FC at one of their games.

What is a horizontal management structure?

What is a horizontal management structure?

Horizontal management structures are not a new buzzword, although recently the idea has gained measurable traction. At the Sevaan Group, we adopted the methodology to our business a number of years ago and the idea of empowering staff and removing silos has proven strategically advantageous.
